The DARC MONO is an exclusive and custom-built expedition vehicle that meets highest demands through technological innovation and industrial manufacturing quality.
The exterior design impresses with its clear and functional shapes. Visually, it combines the basic features of the Iveco chassis with design elements of a Rally-Dakar truck and makes the entire vehicle appear as one coherent unit.
The living cabin consists of a carbon fiber monocoque and is the result of modern motorsport technology paired with the requirements of an off-road touring rig. Given the massive structural strength of the cabin, the DARC MONO is equipped with seven frameless glass windows, a pass-through door to the driver’s cab and several storage hatches. The cabin itself weighs under 500kg, saving more than 40% in weight compared to a conventional sandwich model. The custom-milled insulation layer protects against noise and temperature ranging from -30°C to +50°C.
On both sides, the DARC MONO has water and dust resistant cargo hatches that provide access to the insulated interior storage space. Additionally, it features pullouts for tools, camping gear and an outdoor BBQ. An electrically extendable awning on the right side of the vehicle protects against sunlight. At the back a lowerable heavy duty rear rack can be used to carry a motorcycle, e-bikes or other sports equipment.
The interior of the DARC MONO is highly functional without sacrificing comfort and design. The inside headroom of over two meters (6"9) in combination with the 1.5m long skylight creates an unprecedented feeling of space, which is further enhanced by the 270° panoramic view. The wooden interior is as stable as it is light and can be configured by the client in several thousand color and material combinations.
The dining area seats five people while its fifth seat acts as an office niche. This small but functional work space can be used even with the bed in its low position. Sufficient storage space is located under the benches, which is also accessible from the outside of the cabin. Cabinets, shelves and their respective layout can be freely selected by the client, so that even special appliances such as a coffee machine or wine cooler can find space. The kitchen equipment is also customizable with the possibility of a gas-free version upon request.
The lithium-ion battery pack and the separate fresh water filter are located in the temperature regulated floor storage compartment for the lowest possible center of gravity. They are easily accessible via flaps in the cabin floor.
Despite being small, the bathroom is equipped with a 60x35cm window, a separate air vent, as well as a high-quality separating toilet and shower. The hatch in the bathroom leads into the driver's cab, so that in case of emergency clients do not have to leave the vehicle.
The DARC MONO is based on an Iveco Daily 4x4 chassis with 3780mm wheelbase, 8-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive. Adaptive shock absorbers from KW Automotive and 37"x12.5" all-terrain tires on 17"x9.5" aluminum rims allow our expedition truck to master even extreme off-road conditions.
The vehicle is equipped with two additional fuel tanks to minimize the consequences of bad fuel or a leak. On top of the driver's cab is a roof rack with a carbon fiber base plate, attached by CNC-machined aluminum rails. The air intake snorkel - also made from 100% CFRP - makes the Daily 4x4 even more versatile during river crossings or dirty air passages.
A 6-piece and extremely powerful Bi-LED kit provides an excellent view, freeing the entire Iveco from classic light bulbs. The light package is completed by a 22" light bar with 16,000 lumens, attached to the stainless steel bull bar. The front of the vehicle is completed by a 10 ton electrical winch.
